The Broncos walked away with 1st place in the single A division on Saturday at the Chicago Math League South meet. Individual awards were won by Heather Sledzinski, David Batka, Marisa VanDeVeer, and Thomas Batka. The team earned awards in 9 of the 11 events. Great start to the season Broncos!!!!

Boys Cross Country Results. Montini Catholic was represented well this past weekend at the State Cross Country Finals in Peoria. At High Noon on Saturday, there was a slight fog still hanging over the soft, wet, and muddy course as Junior Jayden Gertsen and Sr Jake Mondschean took off from the starting line. Giving it their all--in true Bronco fashion--the boys finished the race with their fastest 3-mile times of the year--15:50 and 15:20, respectively. This earned Jayden 60th place and Jake 26th out of the 210 competitors. You always hope to end the season with your best race of the year and these two guys DID JUST THAT! If you see either of them in the hallways today, congratulate them on a great run and a fine season. We couldn't be more proud of them. God-speed in the next step of your "Curre Captum Auream", i.e., "Run for the Gold," gentlemen, and God bless you.

Attention, please. All the Spanish members who created a skull for the Day of the Dead, and left it in my Room 101, you can now come pick it up after school. I will keep them for two days- today and tomorrow Tuesday. If not picked up, your skull will be recycled.

Gracias, Sra. Kinney
