Montini is a Lasallian Catholic College Preparatory School that has been educating young men and women for over 40 years. Over 6000 students have graduated from our school and many have attended the top universities in the country. Today, Montini Catholic alumni are leaders in business, education, the legal field, medical and financial communities in the greater “Chicagoland” community, as well as throughout our country.
We are very proud of our students, as well as the college preparatory educational setting we provide to them. It is important for you to determine if Montini Catholic is the right school for you! There are a number of fine high schools in the area and I encourage you to visit and find out more about all of them before selecting the right fit for you.
What I believe separates Montini Catholic from other high schools is the following:
- Our Lasallian Mission of education calls for us to provide an excellent, well-rounded college preparatory education to all students desiring a Catholic education.
- You will find the college preparatory academic offerings, advanced placement classes, graduation requirements, and extra-curricular programs “more than you can imagine” for a school of our size. I believe the academic and extra-curricular programs we offer here at Montini are second to none!
- In order to provide a truly well-rounded education, a school must provide a large variety of extra-curricular offerings, as well as opportunities for students to participate in such programs. At Montini Catholic there is a club, sport or activity for everyone. Twenty-three athletic offerings, along with over 30 non-athletic extracurricular offerings, are provided for our students. Over 90% of our student body is involved in at least one extra-curricular program.
- Finally, as a Catholic, Lasallian school, our mission calls for us to provide our students with the opportunities for them to grow in their faith and to serve the poor and less fortunate. So, at Montini Catholic, you will find our students participating in a four-year retreat and peer minister program as well as an extensive community service learning program, sponsored through our Campus Ministry office. Montini Catholic students are very active in retreat and sacramental opportunities and are required to perform 40 hours of community service before graduation.
I hope you will come and visit our school campus during one of our Open Houses which are scheduled for Thursday, October 18th and Wednesday, November 14th of this 2012-2013 school year. I am confident that you will be able to verify the information I have provided you about our school community. In addition to our Open Houses, private tours/interviews can also be scheduled throughout the school year. Eight Grade school students can experience a typical day at Montini Catholic through our Student Shadow Program as well.
At Montini Catholic, the student is the subject! Our goal for each student is to fulfill our mission of education by providing each student with an excellent, positive educational experience. I hope you will strongly consider Montini Catholic for your high school experience. I promise you it will be “More Than You Can Imagine.”
Sincerely,
James F. Segredo
President, Montini Catholic High School
