Dear Friends,

In the summer of 2008, the Montini Catholic High School Board of Directors decided to break ground on the construction the the New Academic/Administrative Center with 3.5 million dollars in gifts and pledges reserved for the project.  The plan was for the remaining 1.5 million dollars to be raised during construction of the New Academic/Administrative Center.  Unfortunately, during this time period the country's economy spiraled into a deep recession.  Consequently, very few new gifts and pledges were obtained and some existing pledges remained unfulfilled.  Over the past two years, Montini Catholic has seen a growth in enrollment and is presently at capacity.  Several members of the school community have approached the Board of Directors with a request to revisit the campus improvement initiatives for Phase III of the, Celebrate Our Future...Building on Success Capital Campaign.  The Board of Directors has approved the launch of Phase III, but with the condition that any gifts or pledges to this Phase will be directed to paying down the outstanding debt of the Academic/Administrative Center until the $1.5 million is erased.

During the summer of 2009, the existing cooling tower and classroom cooling system portion of the power plant were removed and replaced with a new, air-cooled mechanical system for the Main School building.  A new energy-efficient boiler for the School Campus was installed in the power plant in the summer of 2010.

Four energy-efficient lighting stanchions, purchased from Musco Athletic Lighting, were installed by Huen Electric and All Purpose Erectors in the summer of 2010.  Montini Catholic played its first varsity home football game under the permanent stadium lights on Saturday September 4, 2010.  The stadium lights also illuminate the running track surrounding the football field.
