Montini Catholic Student Earns His Eagle Scout Rank
Montini Catholic High School congratulates senior, Daniel Quinnert, on completing his Eagle Scout project and passing his Board of Review, earning him his Eagle Scout Rank. The Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since the start of this program in 1911, there have been over 2 million young men who have earned the Eagle ranking.
In order to earn his Eagle Scout, Dan had to: Be active in his troop for at least 6 months after achieving the rank of Life Scout; demonstrate that he lives by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law in his daily lives, including a reference list of people who know him personally and would recommend him on their behalf; earn at total of 21 Merit Badges; Take part in a Scoutmaster conference; Successfully complete an Eagle Scout Board Review; and plan, develop, and lead a service project helpful to any religious institution, school, or community.
For his Eagle Scout project, Dan supervised 20 people as they re-painted a multi-purpose room at a senior assisted living association. Dan and his crew spent over 108 hours giving the multi-purpose room a new paint cover. Dan's efforts in the room's "face-lift" provided a better atmosphere for the senior living association's community.
Dan Quinnert is an honor senior from Darien. He is a member of the Cross Country Team, the Math Team and Club. Dan is also a member of the Math Honor Society at Montini Catholic, Mu Alpha Theta.
