Montini Catholic congratulates freshman Cecily Polanco (a parishioner at St. Isidore Parish, Bloomingdale) and junior Kael Caraballo (a parishioner at Visitation Parish, Elmhurst) for being recipients of the 20-21 Bishop Blanchette Scholarship Award. The scholarship was established in 1982 in honor of the late Bishop Romeo Blanchette. It is made available each year to students in the Joliet Diocese (with an affiliated Council of Catholic Women Organization) who plan on attending a Catholic High School within the diocese. Students are nominated by their parishes and are asked to express their reasons for wanting a Catholic education. Each student's scholastic achievements are also considered.
The application for the Bishop Blanchette Scholarship is available every spring through the Diocese of Joliet. To apply, students and their families must request the necessary forms from the president of their parishes CCW. (If difficulty is encountered in contacting the President of the local CCW, please call (815) 221.6249 or email email@example.com for the Office of the JDCCW.)
