Montini Catholic High School in Lombard is proud to recognize their students receiving Student of the Month accolades for April. "We recognize those students who make our school community a better place," said Activities Director and teacher, Mr. Andrew Weisenburger, who initiated the campaign to honor extraordinary students - nominated by faculty and staff members. "They truly represent and uphold our Lasallian values and traditions here at Montini. Because of their academics, extra-curricular participation, Lasallian spirit, and pride in Montini, we are honored to announce our April Bronco Students of the Month."
Students named Bronco Student of the Month for April 2021 (in addition to their nomination remarks) are:
Freshman - Riley White
"Riley has started her freshman year at Montini off on the right track because she dedicates so much time and effort to her studies. She has a great work ethic, she always turns assignments in on time, and she participates every day during class. Even when students were hybrid learning she would participate and make the most of her time in class."
Sophomore - Michael Wind
"Michael brings a maturity to the classroom that sets him apart from his peers. He brings a professional attitude to his school work and athletics. Whether it is his preparation for class, his contributions to class discussions, his soft spoken leadership on the football and baseball teams, he brings a reliability to all that he does and his teachers, coaches, and peers see and appreciate that from him."
Junior - Tommy May
"Tommy is a joy to have in class. He is quiet, yet confident. He is a very strong student and positive contributor to the classroom. Tommy serves as an excellent role model to the younger runners on the cross country and track teams. He serves as a guide for his peers’ faith journey as part of the Peer Ministry Team. He is an extremely humble young man who raises up all those around him with his positive attitude and friendly personality."
Senior - Heather Sledzinski
"Heather is an excellent all around student who has contributed so much to the Montini community over the last four years. Her participation in many clubs and organizations like Spanish Club, Peer Ministry, Lasallian Youth, and Tri M show her dedication to Montini and her achievements in the classroom reflect on her as an intelligent and hardworking young woman. Heather has accomplished so much at Montini and will undoubtedly have an excellent college career starting next year."
