Montini Catholic celebrated the first home game of the season on Friday, September 2nd (Broncos won against Hillcrest Hawks 31-6) with a Gold Rush themed event.

To kick off the season, players were presented the opportunity to ask a faculty or staff member to wear their 'away football jersey' to the game in a show of support for the team.  Faculty members were also invited to participate in Bronco football pre-game activities including the team's weekly prayer service in the chapel and meeting to review our offensive, defensive and special teams game plans.

Faculty members attending the game were able to act as "Honorary Captains" and several  joined the senior captains at midfield for the coin flip.   "The boys are very proud of what they do, and the commitment they make to our program," said Head Coach Mike Bukovsky.  "They really wanted to share their "GameDay" experience with their teachers!"
