French Language Students Visit Louvre Fantastique in Oakbrook

Montini Catholic French Club students visited Oak Brook's Louvre Fantastique on Friday, September 23rd and walked through the history behind some of the greatest masterpieces ever created including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo.

"It's an interactive exhibit that is bringing the main highlights of the Louvre Museum in Paris to us," explained French teacher Beth DiMarco. "My French 3/3H students are currently working on vocabulary pertaining to art and will be completing a project focused on a French painting. And, my French 4/4H, not only did that project last year, but are continuing their cultural study on art this year as well!

The temporary exhibition providing a life-size, up-close, never-before-seen perspective of a priceless collection is currently at Oakbrook Mall and provides an opportunity for visitors to watch as 'masterpieces come to life with three dimensional recreations, projection mapping, augmented reality, and hands-on interactive features.' Mrs. DiMarco was thrilled that her students were able to experience the magic of the Louvre with this unique opportunity.
