Coach Tom Berk Joins Bronco Coaching Family!

MONTINI CATHOLIC ANNOUNCES BOYS VARSITY LACROSSE COACH, TOM BERK Montini Catholic is proud to announce the addition of Tom Berk to their award winning coaching staff.  Coach Berk has been selected as the new Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team.  

Coach Berk grew up in Long Island, NY in an athletic family. "I first picked up a stick in 6th grade and went on to play Division I Lacrosse at Drexel University in Philadelphia."  He moved to Naperville in 1996 and has worked for 30 years in the financial markets on various Stock and Option Exchanges.

He has coached all levels of Lacrosse at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora for 12 years, and JV at Benet Academy in Lisle for 5 years.   "At Waubonsie, we won  the IHSLA “B Lacrosse Cup” in 2011, and reached the 2012 State Final Four!"  Berk has also enjoyed coaching all age levels at various travel clubs, including True Lacrosse, New Wave and 1223.  

Berk is the father of 4 adult children ( 2 girls, 2 boys) and is currently employed as a middle school teacher in Warrenville.   "I am looking forward to being a member of the Montini Catholic family!"

"There are not too many people I've met that are as passionate about their sport as Coach Berk is with Lacrosse," said Athletic Director Brian Casey (above with Berk).  "His excitement and energy are infectious and I look forward to it being on display everyday on the field for the young men in our program!"
