Congratulations to our students receiving Student of the Month accolades for October. "Each month we recognize those students who make our school community a better place," said Activities Director and teacher, Mr. Andrew Weisenburger, who initiated the campaign honoring extraordinary students. "They truly represent and uphold our Lasallian values and traditions here at Montini." Faculty and staff members are given the opportunity to nominate the student they believe best deserves each monthly honor.
Katie Gertsen was chosen as this month's freshman student of the month. Among the reasons for her nomination and selection is her strong leadership abilities. Written on her nomination form: "She takes charge and makes sure all tasks are finished and completed well. She is very thorough and asks pertinent questions that help others understand difficult concepts."
From the sophomore class, it was Ruby Dawson. "Ruby is a kind and hard worker who is always helpful to her peers. Her willingness to help the Admissions team as part of our "Johnny Always Wins" charity game shows her dedication to her school."
Antoine Harris was this month's junior selection. "Antoine is a hard working student who is always willing to go the extra step to help. He stays on task and does everything in a timely manner. He is an extremely reliable and dependable young man!"
From the senior class, Hannah Ruddy received the honor. "Hannah has balanced a busy Cross Country schedule with her courses and is very dedicated to Student Government. She has made every football hype video this year and is committed to making her senior year the best it can be for her class!"
"We are so proud of all of our Student of the Month recipients," said President Jim Segredo. "Their dedication to their own success as well as the success of our Montini Catholic school community is inspiring!"
