Periodically local colleges, foundations and businesses offer educational events for high school students to explore and learn more about a specific field or interest of study. Please see below for the most current opportunities.

The Congressional Leadership Fund is looking for student interns to build a grassroots network Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The internship opportunities for this Fall are open to any student; however, they must apply and be accepted. Hours are flexible, but students must be able to commit to at least 10 hours per week and are responsible for their own transportation. Click on the two links to learn more or apply.

STEMinar Series: Nim Tottenham

Have you ever wondered how our early childhood experiences impact our brain development when it comes to regulating emotion? In this talk, Columbia University Professor of Psychology, Nim Tottenham, will explore the neurobiology behind emotional behavior in adulthood and how early experiences matter. This event is suitable for high school and older.

National Chemistry Week

Join us for a truly out-of-this-world experience as we explore all things Chemistry! This free event will include hands-on experiments, mind-enriching lectures, and industry and COD exhibits. The event is sponsored by the American Chemical Society (ACS), Chicago Section and College of DuPage. This event is open to the public and is suitable for all ages, although most activities will be geared toward middle and high school students

Explore Engineering Night
