Coach Bukovsky is a 1983 graduate of Montini Catholic High School. In 2015 he completed his 30th year of coaching at Montini Catholic. He returned to Montini Catholic in 1994 when he was named Assistant Wrestling Coach. Coach "Bu" became the 5th head Wrestling Coach in the school's history right before teh school's 1994-95 season. Over the course of his 16 year tenure as Wrestling Coach, the Broncos won 16 conference titles, 15 regional titles and qualified for the IHSA State Dual Meet 13 times, winning a total of 11 IHSA State Team Trophies, including a State record 8 Team State Championships, the most by any coach in IHSA Wrestling history with at least a 10-year coaching career.

Bukovsky was a three-time winner of the Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association "Coah of the Year" (1998, 2002, 2008), and was named "Man of the Year" in 2010. He was selected as the "National Coach of the year" by the national High School Athletic Coaches Association in 2009. Bukovsky was inducted into the IL Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association Hall of Fame in 2008. He also recently received recognition by the Illinois Coaching Association for taking his Bronco Softball Team to their first IHSA State Championship (3A). His Lady Broncos also captured the GCAC Championship in only their first year of participating in the league.

Bukovsky became a member of the Bronco Football Family in 1979 as a player and began his football coaching career at Montini in 1990 alongside legendary Coach Chris Andriano.
