Special recognition went out to seniors Abigail Wolf, Jake Karczewski and Jacob Mondschean during Montini Catholic High School's Founder's Day Award Ceremony on May 18th. The three seniors were awarded the Pope Paul VI Award, presented to students who best exemplify the characteristics of Christian leadership.
Montini Catholic High School was devotedly named after Pope Paul VI who was elected to the papacy in 1963, during the planning of creation of a Catholic high school in Lombard, Illinois. The school celebrated his Beatification in 2015.
Abigail Wolf is a graduate of St. Pius X Parish School in Lombard and will be attending the University of Dayton (majoring in Engineering).
Jake Karczewski is a graduate of St. Peter and Paul School (resident of Villa Park) and will be attending the United States Naval Academy (majoring in English).
Jacob Mondschean is a graduate of Butler Junior High School (resident of Oak Brook) and will be attending Iowa State University (majoring in Mechanical Engineering).
