Fall Concert Rings in the New Season
Posted 10/12/2018 01:10PM

Montini Catholic's auditorium was alive of music and song as proud parents, faculty and friends were treated to a special evening of melodies during the school's Fall Concert on Thursday, October 11th. The concert is an annual celebration and features the talents of the school's music students.

The audience was entertained by musical vignettes featuring the Freshman Choir, Concert Choir, Varsity Singers, Chamber Choir, Treble Makers, Acafellas and Concert and Symphonic Bands.

Montini's Music Department affords each student the opportunity of realizing the importance of music as an art form in our present world, and the rich heritage it has fostered on a social and cultural level. Under the direction of directors, Belford Hernandez and Matthew Loeb, students learn both performance skills as well as listening skills to use throughout life whether for leisure activity or for a career.

The group's next show will be their much anticipated Christmas themed concert in December followed by a Christmas Concert tour when they will perform for various grade school students across the Joliet diocese.
