This year Montini students celebrate the 26th year of the Golden Gobbler food drive which benefits local food pantries. Students are proud to be responsible for donating over 350,000 items since the program's inception to food pantries throughout DuPage County.

In 1997, under the leadership of the principal at that time, Jim Segredo (now president),  Montini Catholic kicked off the very first Golden Gobbler Food Drive. Since then the event has become a welcomed tradition to students and their families encouraging students, homerooms and classes to bring in non-perishable food items for local food pantries. Additionally, some of the food collected is allocated for families that are "adopted" by Montini Catholic during the Christmas season.

This years Golden Gobbler will take place November 7 - 18 with food collection days on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  With the help of our alumni community, hams and turkeys will be purchased as well as grocery gift cards for the Adopt-a-Family Christmas Project.
