Thursday, August 14th marked the first day of the 2025-26 school year for Montini students.
Classrooms were bustling again on Thursday, August 14th as Principal Chris Tiritilli and President Kevin Beirne welcomed students back to school for Montini's 60th year of Lasallian college preparatory education.
"At Montini Catholic, we are proud to provide a high-quality Lasallian educational experience to all of our students," said Principal Chris Tiritilli. "There is truly a place here for all students to excel academically, to grow socially and emotionally, compete athletically, and to grow in their faith. We work hard to maintain our positive school culture and provide our students with authentic and meaningful experiences - and we are happy to be celebrating our 60th year of Lasallian education."
Montini students are part of a Lasallian community spanning 80 countries and currently educating over one million students worldwide. Locally, Montini Catholic is a member of the Midwest District of The De La Salle Christian Brothers, which includes three universities and fourteen high schools. St. John Baptist de La Salle, a French cleric, founded the Brothers of the Christian Schools in the late 17th century. Named the Patron Saint of All Teachers, St. John Baptist de La Salle dedicated his life to providing a well-rounded, Christian education to students of all faiths.
In 1963, the De La Salle Christian Brothers were invited to sponsor and manage a new Catholic high school in the Lombard area, and in 1966, Montini Catholic opened its doors to 217 freshmen. Today, Montini Catholic has graduated close to 8,000 Lasallians, who are a diverse group of individuals and are lifetime members of one unique community. Our school consists of students from over 105 private and public grade schools in over 57 cities in the Chicagoland area.
