Intramurals Score Big on Bringing Fun and School Spirit

Students encouraged to step out of their comfort zones.
Montini Catholic's Intramural program is enjoying its third year of fun and success. Revitalized in 2023 by Montini Catholic Dean and alumna, Anne Westerkamp ’84, the program encourages all Bronco students to step outside their comfort zones, stay active, and enjoy friendly competition.

Close to 200 students competed last year in a variety of activities including badminton, spike ball, bags, pickleball and basketball doubling the numbers from its first year.  And, this year, Westerkamp hopes to see these numbers rise after a successful and fun fall season.  In addition to bragging rights, winning teams are awarded prizes (t-shirts, hoodies, medals, cash and gift cards). The winning teams also earn the privilege of challenging a faculty teams for the most coveted prize - a free dress down day.

“The intramural program brings so much joy to our campus,” says Principal Chris Tiritilli. “It’s wonderful to see students come together, try something new and have fun while building friendships and school spirit. We are so thankful to Ms. Westerkamp for her passion in keeping this program thriving and successful.”
