"Our turtle sewing project was a fun and rewarding project!"
MONTINI CATHOLIC STUDENTS STITCH SMILES WITH TURTLE SEWING PROJECT
Students in Montini Catholic Honors Theatre Workshop II spent time during their Prop Unit in April to learn sewing techniques by sewing small stuffed turtle "desk buddies" for third grade students at St. Pius X Parish School in Lombard. St. Pius students were tasked with coloring templates with their desired colors and Bronco students brought their customized designs to life.
"This was such a fun and rewarding project," said teacher and Theatre Director, Jaclyn Martin, who then delivered the 'desk buddies' to their new home at St. Pius X. Montini alumna, Megan Crotty Pauley '00, Student Enrichment Director at St. Pius X, accepted the cute gifts and handed them out to the happy recipients!
