Senior Tommy Healy Earns Grove Express Foundation Scholarship
The award recognizes one's commitment to community service and leadership.
Montini Catholic in Lombard congratulated Grove Express Foundation Scholarship recipient, senior Thomas Healy. Healy was formally recognized Sunday, April 26th at the Lasallian college preparatory high school's Senior Celebration Awards.
The Grove Express Foundation Scholarship award recognizes seniors in the Downers Grove community for their commitment to community service and leadership. It also reflects the promise and the confidence the foundation has placed in a student's future success. The scholarship not only honors past accomplishments, but also helps open doors to new opportunities in the years ahead.

Tommy has celebrated an exceptional career as a student at Montini Catholic High School. An Illinois State Scholar and AP Scholar, he has distinguished himself academically as a member of both Montini’s Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and National Honor Society. He is also a proud member of the Chinese Honor Society and Math Club, where he helped lead the Broncos to an impressive 8th place finish at the state level this spring.
Beyond his academic accomplishments, Tommy has made a lasting impact on the Montini community through his involvement with the school’s Peer Ministry team. As a Peer Minister, Tommy has served as a faith-filled role model, dedicating his time to mentoring fellow students, leading retreats and prayer experiences and helping foster the welcoming spirit that defines the Montini community. "Membership on the Peer Ministry team reflects a student’s commitment to leadership through service, faith, and example," said Campus Minister Michael Blanchette. "These are qualities Tommy embodies each and every day. His ability to inspire faculty, staff and classmates alike has made him an invaluable part of the Bronco family."

"This honor reflects not only Tommy's dedication to academic excellence, but also a deep commitment to serving others with compassion, integrity and purpose. The scholarship is funded entirely by the annual Thanksgiving Day Grove Express 5K.

Tommy will be attending the University of Illinois in the fall. He is a graduate of O'Neill Middle School and is a parishioner of St. Joseph Parish in Downers Grove.
