Brother Christopher Kavanaugh Memorial Scholarship Awarded

Montini Catholic junior ​M​aryfaith Considine earned the Lasallian college preparatory high school's 202​6 Brother Christopher Kavanaugh Memorial Scholarship.  

The scholarship is awarded each year to a student recognized as a well-rounded Bronco and one who exemplifies Brother Christopher's great pride, spirit and enthusiasm for the Bronco experience.  Maryfaith received her award during Montini Catholic's Celebration of Excellence Award Ceremony on ​Friday, May1​5th.
 
Maryfaith is a well-rounded student and was recognized most recently for earning the earning the 2026 Leonard Bernstein Musicianship Award.  She is a member of Montini's National Honor Society (inducted in the fall of ​h​er junior year) as well as​ Spanish Honor Society.  She is also a valued member of Montini's Tri-M Music Honor Society​ where she served her junior year as Vice President and a member of the International Thespian Society, serving as Vice President her junior year.  ​As a member of Peer Ministry, Maryfaith enjoys inspiring others through service and faith.  She is a member of Montini Maniacs spirit club, Spanish Club and Student Government (Executive Board).   Maryfaith is no stranger to the Montini stag​e​ as a member of Chamber Choir and performing in three concerts per year as well as school Masses. She has appeared in three school musicals -The Sound of Music (as Maria, 2024), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (as Narrator, 2025), Hadestown(as Eurydice, 2026)​.

Beyond her accomplishments, she genuinely cares for her peers and consistently models the Lasallian values of faith, community, and service both in and out of the classroom. Her work ethic is truly inspiring and reflects the very best of what it means to be a Montini Catholic student.​"
 
Brother Chris Kavanaugh, FSC was Montini’'s sixth principal (1991-1997).​ He was known for his tremendous pride in Montini Catholic and for the spirit, enthusiasm, and energy he brought to every aspect of school life.
