Montini Junior Awarded the Dhir Family Scholarship

Congratulations to Brianna Konopacz!
  1. Montini Catholic junior Brianna Konopacz earned the Lasallian college preparatory high school's 2026 Dhir Family Scholarship.  Brianna is the second Bronco student to receive the scholarshipwhich was established in 2025 by alumni Ayaan '21 and Anjay Dhir '24 (both leaders in Montini's Technology and Robotics programs) and presented on May 15th at Montini's Celebration of Excellence Award ceremony.  
     
    The scholarship is presented to a student who exemplifies leadership, a love for innovation, a commitment to success and a selfless attitude. The recipient is selected by the faculty members in the Technology and Robotics programs. 
     
    Brianna is a valued member of Montini's Robotics team (Horsepower) and helped them advance to the playoff rounds and earn the prestigious Judge’s Award this past February at the VEXRobotics Illini Cornfield Clash at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. 
     
    Throughout their time as students at Montini, both Ayaan and Anjay were members of Montini's Robotics Team, working together to earn their spot at the VEX State Championship together in 2021.  Anjay went on to compete in two VEX Worlds Championships during his time at Montini.  It was their desire to reward students involved in the technology field at Montini with a scholarship, and they will rely on help from Technology Department teachers to select the most deserving student.  (Anjay Dhir '24 is currently attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  Ayaan Dhir '21 most recently graduated from University of California/Irvine with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering.)
