Sixteen Seniors Earn Illinois State Scholars Status
Congratulations to Our Class of 2026 Broncos Named Illinois State Scholars
Montini Catholic Principal Chris Tiritilli is pleased to announce that sixteen Montini Catholic students from the Bronco's graduating class of 2026 have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars. The Illinois State Scholar program recognizes top Illinois high school seniors for superior academic potential, based on high ACT/SAT scores and class rank (top 10% nationally), granting them a Certificate of Achievement, media recognition, and enhanced college applications. Managed by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), it's a prestigious honor that highlights students' rigorous academic performance and helps them stand out to colleges, which often actively recruit these recognized scholars.
Selection for Illinois State Scholar status relies on exemplary ACT or SAT scores and a strong unweighted class rank at the end of the sixth semester (junior year). The relevant test scores are from exams taken between August 1 and June 30 of the student's junior year.
“Our Illinois State Scholars remind us what is possible when talent meets hard work," said Principal Tiritilli. "We are incredibly proud of these seniors. Their achievement inspires our entire school community.”
