Maryfaith Considine Earns the Leonard Bernstein Musicianship Award

The award celebrates excellence in performance as well as a deep commitment to the spirit and soul of music.

Montini Catholic recently recognized junior Maryfaith Considine '27 for earning the 2026 Leonard Bernstein Musicianship Award​.  The award is a national honor, created​ to recognize a student whose musical contributions, dedication​ and creativity truly set them apart. Named after one of America’s most celebrated conductors and composers, this award celebrates not only excellence in performance, but also a deep commitment to the spirit and soul of music.  Maryfaith received the award during the Lasallian college preparatory high school's Spring Concert in May.
 
Receiving the Leonard Bernstein Award for Musical Talent is a fitting honor for Maryfaith, whose extraordinary gifts as a performer have left a lasting impression on the Montini community.  Her exceptional musical ability​ and dedication to her craft made her an easy choice for this award.  Over her time at Montini, she has appeared in three school musicals​ -The Sound of Music (​as Maria, 2024), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream​coat (​as Narrator, 2025), Hadestown (​as Eurydice, 2026)​ - each time showcasing her remarkable versatility​ and confidence​, as well as her ability to bring characters to life on stage. 

Beyond theater, Maryfaith is also a valued member of Montini's Chamber Choir, where her talent enriches performances and liturgical celebrations. "Whether performing stage or in the choir, Maryfaith consistently elevates those around her with her talent and love for music," said Montini Principal Chris Tiritilli.  "Her dedication to the performing arts makes her truly deserving of this prestigious honor.​ We are so proud of her."

​"The Leonard Bernstein Award is selected by every student in ​o​ur Music Program​," added Montini's Music Director, Donnie Glowinski.  ​"Each ensemble nominates ​t​here people they think are most deserving and then the department votes.  ​We could not have chosen anyone better for the award.  ​M​aryfaith surpasses all criteria and is such a talented young lady​.​"
