New Administrative Team Ready for the New School Year!

Mr. Jerry Poro will serve as the Broncos' Associate Principal. In this role, Mr. Poro, a graduate of Fenwick High School, will partner closely with Principal Tiritilli to advance Montini's instructional excellence and support faculty development.  "Our goal is to ensure a cohesive and well-managed school environment focused on student success," explained Principal Tiritilli.  "I am incredibly excited to welcome Jerry Poro and to have him as a partner in leading and growing our school. Jerry brings extensive experience as an educator and leader in both Catholic and public schools, along with a deep passion for Catholic education and a clear commitment to helping students, teachers, and school communities thrive. His wealth of knowledge, collaborative leadership style, and dedication to instructional excellence will be tremendous assets to our faculty and students. I look forward to working alongside Jerry as we continue to strengthen our academic programs, support our teachers, and advance our Catholic and Lasallian mission together."

Poro brings extensive experience (18 years) in educational leadership, having served as Division Head for Special Education at Wheeling High School in District 214 and previously as Department Chair at Naperville North High School. His career began as a Student Support Teacher, Guidance Counselor, and Academic Advisor at Fenwick High School. He attended Benedictine University and holds master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Special Education and possesses a deep appreciation for Catholic education.

I believe strongly in the partnership between families and Catholic schools in the education and development of children." 

 

Student Counselor, Mrs. Stephanie Ott has been promoted to Director of Student Life and Activities.  In her new role, she will overseecounseling, student activities, standardized testing and scheduling.  Mrs. Ott has also been tasked with fostering student engagement and promoting a positive and connected school culture. She will continue to serve as Counselor and Counseling Department Chair. 

Mrs. Ott began her postsecondary education journey receiving a B.A. in Human Services and Behavioral Sciences. While starting her career in counseling, she found passion in working in education, earning her Masters in Teaching from National Louis University.  She graduated with a Masters in School Counseling from Concordia University in May of 2023.  "I am beyond excited to join the administrative team at Montini," said Ott.  "My goal is to always foster a supportive, collaborative environment where every student can thrive."

"I am thrilled to continue working alongside Stephanie Ott as she steps into her new role," said Principal Tiritilli.  "Over the past several years, Stephanie has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, a genuine love for our students, and a deep commitment to our Catholic and Lasallian mission. This new position and title reflect both her proven ability to lead and our commitment to providing even greater support for students throughout every stage of their Montini experience.  I am confident that this role will allow Stephanie to make an even greater impact on our school, ensuring that every student feels known, supported, and provided with the best possible experience during their time at Montini."  

Montini's Resource Program Director, Mrs. Beth Parker, has been promoted to Director of Student Support Services where she will oversee the Resource Program, student accommodations and support systems to ensure that every student receivesthe individualized support needed to thrive. She will also continue in her role as Resource Program Director.  

"I am also excited to continue working with Beth Parker," said Principal Tiritilli.  "Beth brings a tremendous wealth of experience in special education and student support, and our entire school community will benefit from her expertise, leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping every student succeed. Beth will be able to make an even greater impact by strengthening the systems, services, and accommodations that ensure all students receive the support they need to thrive. I am grateful to have Beth as a partner on our leadership team and look forward to the positive difference she will continue to make for our students, families, and faculty."  

 

All members of Montini's faculty and staff are very excited about the experience and vision these leaders will bring to their new roles and all look forward to the positive impact they will have on Montini's school community and their Lasallian mission.
