Montini Catholic students and faculty are anxious to welcome local 7th graders who want to "Be a Bronco for a Day" on the Lasallian college preparatory high school's annual 7th Grade Step-Up Day on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Grade school visitors will experience a half-day (8-11:30AM) of life as a Bronco - attending classes, meeting new people, exploring the school, and getting a feel for a typical day of high school at Montini Catholic. The young students are paired with a Bronco student host who shares similar interests, helping them feel welcomed and comfortable right away. This personalconnection allows visiting grade schoolers to ask questions, see what a typical day looks like, and imagine themselves as future Broncos - making the experience more meaningful, engaging and memorable.
“Every year we look forward to meeting our younger prospective students on this day,” said Sara McGady, Admissions Coordinator. “Our grade school visitors get to experience, first-hand, what it’s like to be a Montini Catholic student by forming connections with our student ambassadors. It’s a fun and welcoming way for them to build confidence, explore their interests and begin to see themselves as future Broncos.”
Parents of students interested in shadowing at Montini on February 20th or any day may contact Sara McGady at Montini Catholic High School at 630-627-6930 or visit:
