Our 2025 Broncos completed one of the most historic seasons in Montini football history!
MONTINI CATHOLIC FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPIONS RECEIVE THEIR RINGS AT SPECIAL CEREMONY

Members of Montini Catholic’s IHSA Class 4A State Championship football team received their championship rings on Sunday, May 3. The celebratory event was emceed by Head Varsity Coach Michael Bukovsky ’83, as each coach and player was individually called to the field to be recognized and receive their ring.

The 2025 Broncos completed one of the most historic seasons in Montini football history - finishing the regular season as the Chicago Catholic League White Division Champions, defeating 2 teams that would eventually go on to win State Championships in Illinois and Michigan.  After the 9-0 regular season, the Broncos entered the class 4A playoffs and plowed through the field to reach the State Championship Game against State Power Rochester High School.  The nine time State champion Rockets, had never lost a State Championship Game, but the battle tested Broncos proved to be too much for the Rockets, and earned a 47-33 victory, and the programs 8th total State Championship!

"This team is only the second Montini Team in history to finish as 14-0 undefeated State Champions," said Coach Bukovsky.  "This year's Broncos also currently have the programs longest win streak of all time, as they have won 24 straight games dating back to last year."

“This team created brothers for life," said senior Isaac Alexander.  "We learned that, no matter how hard you are pushed, trusting your teammates will get you through anything. This is what allowed us to overcome the hard moments this season to go undefeated and become, not only CCL White Division Champions, but also 4A State Champions.”

Montini Catholic is a Lasallian college preparatory high school located in Lombard, Illinois.
