Students Entertain at Fall Concert

First concert of the school year pays tribute to literature and song.
Montini Catholic's auditorium was alive with music and song for the Lasallian college preparatory school's first concert of the school year on Wednesday, October 7th.  Proud parents, faculty and friends were treated to a special evening themed - "Once Upon a Note"  the concert featured music based on different forms of literature.  The fall concert is one of three performed during the school year -  featuring the talents of the school's Concert and Chamber Choirs, Treble Makers, Rock Band and Combined Bands - all led by Music Director, Mr. Donnie Glowinski with Accompanist, Gary Palkow.

On this night Montini Catholic Music Director, Mr. Donnie Glowinski, also congratulated and announced the newest members of the Bronco Tri-M (Music) Honor Society.  The students received their ovations just prior to performing in their first concert of the school year.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society's (the three 'M' initials stand for Modern Music Masters) purpose is to inspire music participation, create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, and promote leadership in the music students of secondary schools.  Candidates for membership are selected from school music students that exhibit exceptional scholarship, leadership, service, and character. They must have been enrolled in a school-sponsored music ensemble and/or class for at least one semester of the current school year and must have maintained for the previous semester at least an “A” average grade or equivalent in music, with at least a “B” average grade or equivalent in other academic subjects.  Service roles in both school and community as well as character are also considered when members are selected.

“Being recognized as a member of Tri-M Music Honor Society is about much more than being a talented musician,” said Montini Catholic Principal Chris Tiritilli. “These students have demonstrated the dedication, leadership, character and commitment to service that make them outstanding members of our Bronco community. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the example they set for others through their passion for music and their commitment to excellence.”
