Congratulations, Ruby!

Montini Catholic junior Ruby Cavaliere (Lombard) has been named Bronco Artist of the Month for September. Ruby was nominated for the honor by her art teacher, Ms. Stephanie Kuecker.

"Ruby is such a fantastic portrait artist," said Ms. Kuecker. "She worked on the painting of St. John Baptist De Lasalle during our mural project this year in Multi-Level art.  She has a great eye for proportion and color matching and includes great detail within her portraits. She is so talented!"

Ruby was so happy and grateful to hear the news of her selection, which was announced to Montini's student body after Homecoming Mass on Monday, October 2nd.  Inspired by her father, who always loved to draw, Ruby loves to sketch as well, with charcoal being her favorite medium.  "It's a great way to spend your time!"

She is also thrilled to get to work with Ms. Kuecker!  "She's great and so much fun!"  The two are currently busy preparing an artistic backdrop for the Broncos upcoming Homecoming Dance with the theme - Masquerade.

"I am so proud of Ruby," adds Ms. Kuecker.  "She definitely brings alot of fun to my class and I hope she continues to pursue art in some way or another throughout her life."
