The LaSallian Mission of Education enriches the whole person through classroom instruction, use of technology and the development of the student's cultural, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual well being. Our Honor Societies recognize students whose academic achievements within a specific framework qualify them for membership in the following societies.

French Honor Society

Moderator: Mrs. Beth DiMarco
To be considered for French Honor Society students must be in the third year of French (usually juniors, sometimes sophomores). Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in all coursework, and must maintain at least a 3.0 in all French courses. Students must also enroll in four years of the language (five in the case of freshman who place into French 2 out of middle school) in order to maintain membership and graduate with a French Honor Society cord.

International Thespian Society

Moderator: Mrs. Beth DiMarco
Students need to work significantly on 4 shows in a row, show dedication to the theatre, have a breadth of responsibility, and be a strong, enthusiastic member of the theatre ensemble in both acting and set crew.

Mu Alpha Theta

Moderator: Mrs. Chrissy McManus '88

Mu Alpha Theta inspires keen interest in mathematics, develops strong scholarship in the subject, and promotes the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two year college students.


Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society with over 88,000 student members each school year in more than 1,800 schools. They are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics.

National Honor Society

Moderators: Mr. Mike Dailey & Mrs. Estelle Soger

The purpose of this chapter is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Montini Catholic High School. Members of the National Honor Society lead the Peer Tutoring Program and sponsor an Annual Blood Drive.

Spanish Honor Society

Moderators: Mrs. Nora Kinney
To receive the invitation to belong to the Spanish Honor Society, students must have an overall GPA of 3.5 and a 4.0 in Spanish throughout the years they have taken Spanish. Upon acceptance and induction into the Honor Society, students must retain a Spanish language course within their schedule until graduation, attend all club meetings and field trips and perform 5 hours of peer tutoring with other Spanish class students.

Tri-M Music Honor Society

Moderator: Mr. Don Glowinski
The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M is the only music honor society for junior/middle school and high school students in the country. Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically.

Math Team

Moderator: Mrs. Chrissy McManus '88

The Math Team members learn mathematics not taught in the high school curriculum and participate in competitive mathematics competitions. The Montini Mathletes have finished in the top 10 at the State Math Meet in the 2A Division for the past 14 years. The Math Team meets weekly. 

Robotics Team

Moderator: Mr. Peter Farina '87
Montini’s Robotics Team is made up of students who have studied robotics and/or programming in our Technology Education Department and/or have extra-curricular experience working with electronics, engineering, or programming. 

Team members have competed for the last five years in several annual robotics and engineering competitions held by local colleges and organizations. The team has been very successful in local, State, and National tournaments. Besides participating in competitions, Robotics Team also runs our annual M-TEC (Montini Technology & Engineering Competition) for local diocesan 6th and 7th grade students.
