Congratulations, freshman Sam Liotta!

Montini Catholic High School in Lombard is proud to announce freshman Salvatore (Sam) Liotta as their October Student of the Month. Sam was nominated by Principal Chris Tiritilli. "Since the beginning of the school year Sam has stood out," says Tiritilli. "Almost every morning he is the first face our students see at our entrance opening the door for his peers with a warm, friendly smile. I believe this simple, but genuine act of kindness toward others is what being 'Christ-like' is all about here at Montini. One act can be very impactful and can mean so much."
"I was very excited to hear that I was this month's student of the month," said Sam. "Since the beginning of the year I have met so many nice and new people. Everyone is so welcoming. I find it an honor to be selected."
"Sam is a wonderful student! He always puts 110% effort into everything that he does in the classroom," said teacher, Alexxis Johnson, who agrees that students of the month should embody all that it means to be Lasallian and living Jesus' commandment to 'love thy neighbor as thyself.' "He is kind to everyone around him, and he is extremely polite to the adults in the building. He always enters my classroom with a big smile on his face and makes everyone's day better."
Sam was a member of Montini's soccer team this fall and is also a member of Lasallian Youth, Baking Club and Ping Pong Club.
