"It is clear that there is something special here at Montini."

Montini Catholic in Lombard announces Anne Marie Lowery as their new Director of Development.  Mrs. Lowery is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of an ongoing comprehensive development program that communicates the Lasallian college preparatory school’s philosophy, mission, values, goals and achievements. "Ultimately, Anne Marie is responsible for executing a plan that will leverage existing and new partnerships to provide the resources necessary for a top notch Montini experience for our students," said President Beirne in his announcement to his faculty and staff in July.

Mrs. Lowery has worked in education for 20 years, assuming various roles including teacher, coach, moderator, administrator, and fundraiser.  She most recently served as the Advancement Officer at Fenwick High School. "I believe deeply in the value of a Catholic education, which was a realization that came through experiences in public and private schools," she said. Raised in Lisle, Anne Marie currently resides in Westmont with her husband (Mike) and two children.

"The development and fundraising efforts are critical to the success of Catholic high schools," said President Beirne. "Anne Marie arrives at a moment in our school's history in which we are primed to grow this effort. She brings an incredibly engaging presence, superb strategic thinking, a sharp intellect, natural leadership instincts, and dedication to Catholic education that will have a transformative impact on our school community. I'm thrilled to partner with Anne Marie to grow our fundraising effort, further engage our stakeholder groups, and advance the important mission of our school community."

"It is clear that there is something special here at Montini," said Anne Marie. "I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community and to have the opportunity to lead the Development Team as it works to ensure that Montini has the resources it needs to provide the best possible experience for each Bronco now and into the future."

This month, Montini Catholic's Band is celebrating a National Champion (Class A) title in the National Catholic Band Association's national band competition. "We are incredibly proud," said the Lasallian college preparatory high school's Music Director Donnie Glowinski. "This is the first time in school history that Montini Catholic has earned this title." Each year, Catholic high schools from across the country are invited to submit performance recordings to be adjudicated by a panel of expert judges. "This prestigious honor is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our student musicians. Their commitment to excellence has brought great pride to our school community," added Glowinski. "Every year, we work on becoming better musicians, and every year, the band rises to the challenge. I am so unbelievably proud of the work this group has done this year and everything they have accomplished. I am really looking forward to the future to see what these students will be able to do!" In the summer of 1953 a small group of concerned band directors, led by Director of Bands Robert F. O’Brien, met on the campus of the University of Notre Dame to discuss the Catholic School Band, its particular problems, and what might be done to further its development. Fr. Theodore Hesburgh Notre Dame President, gave the welcome speech. Mr. O’Brien then proposed goals for the organization and the NCBA was born. Today, NCBA's office is located at Villanova University Office of Music Activities. The NCBA recognizes the value of music within the Catholic school community. Their mission is to establish high musical, educational and ethical standards in Catholic schools' band programs.
