Pillar of Community

The Pillar of Community is led by our Peer Ministry Team, a group of junior and senior students who actively live out their faith and strive to make Montini Catholic a faith-centered, inclusive community through their leadership and example.

The Peer Ministry Team facilitates several mentorship programs and service outreach programs designed to support and connect students throughout their high school journey:

Freshman Mentor Program – Peer Ministry leaders meet quarterly with their freshman groups to help them acclimate to the Montini community and ease their transition into high school life.

Peer Mentor Program – Peer Ministers meet weekly with students to provide ongoing support, encouragement, and guidance during their time at Montini Catholic.

Conversation Partners Program – To support our vibrant international student community, Peer Ministers meet bi-monthly with international students to foster friendship, build conversational skills, and share cultural experiences that strengthen our global Montini family.

Retreat Support – Freshman and sophomore retreats are guided by our Peer Ministry Team through small-group activities, prayer experiences, and reflective sessions that help students grow spiritually and build community.

Annual Fall Drive – Each school year begins with a service drive in September or October to support local organizations or programs. In past years, students have collected coats, shoes, school supplies, hoodies, and stuffed animals to bring comfort and assistance to those in need.

Adopt-a-Family Program – Before the Christmas break, homerooms are assigned a family to provide with holiday gifts. Peer Ministers coordinate the drive, assist homerooms with planning, and help deliver gifts to the families, ensuring a meaningful service experience for all involved.

Additional Programs – Peer Ministers also participate in a wide range of activities throughout the year, including leading morning prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, serving as liturgical ministers, supporting grade school retreats, organizing Lenten projects, and more.
