Pillar of Service

The Pillar of Service is the core of LaSallian Education.  Service to others strengthens our relationships with God, others and ourselves.  Through our service opportunities, students have the opportunity to service locally and globally through monthly service opportunities and annual service mission trips.

Monthly Service Opportunities

Each month, Montini Catholic offers students a variety of opportunities to serve others and make a difference in their communities. Students are encouraged to volunteer in ways that reflect our Lasallian commitment to faith and service.  Opportunities are led by Montini Catholic faculty and staff member.
Monthly Service Partners include:
  • Ronald McDonald House in Winfield
  • The Outreach House in Lombard
  • Easter Seals
  • Meal Train for the Homeless

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing for families in need. Through volunteer efforts, donations, and the participation of future homeowners, Habitat builds and repairs homes while fostering dignity and self-reliance.

Montini partners with Habitat for Humanity to offer service trips during spring break and/or summer break, giving students the chance to live out their faith by working alongside others to create lasting change.

International Mission Trips

Our international mission trips give students the opportunity to immerse themselves in service, encounter new cultures, and respond to the needs of communities beyond their own. These experiences embody our Lasallian values—faith in the presence of God, concern for the poor and marginalized, and a spirit of community.

Through mission work, students develop a deeper understanding of global solidarity and their role in promoting the common good.
Montini students have served on mission trips to Nicaragua, Jamaica, Colombia, and Guatemala, offered during spring break or summer break.
